DARK TREASURE

Good adventure of the great northwest, in a story of 19-year-old Mark who went along with the intrepid Captain MacLaren as blacksmith on a mystery trip to the island of Dark Treasure -- said treasure being the priceless Russian sables, smuggled to this island from the Caar's closely guarded property. Mark proved not only invaluable in his capacity as blacksmith, but he could more than hold his own in almost any kind of fight, whether in sport or in protection of life, whether from treachery, or whales, or swordfish. The Northwest passage -- a winter in the Arctic -- and success -- brimful of adventure.
