KIRKUS REVIEW

No diminuition in the energy or hopefulness of the popular Earthworm Tractor salesman, Alexander Botts, in this post-war series of episodes and escapades which are nation-wide in area, personally distasteful to Henderson, Earthworm's president. Botts' constructive mistakes pull him out of appalling disasters connected with two private planes, the parts distribution department, caves and mines, the income tax, the competition of the Behemoth Tractor Company, and new markets that Henderson dies several deaths to think about. Botts proves that theoretical objections (Henderson) can be refuted by hard facts, snatched from the grisly fates that pursue him. Letters and telegrams speed up these ingenious yarns.
