Good McFee and definitely a ""Must Book"". McFee has an engineer's passion for taking things apart and his approach to humans is a careful disassembly of human emotions into neat piles of their component parts. The philosophical Mr. Spenlove, chief engineer of ""the Sansorino"", spins the yarn of Captain Runson, Paula and Ottilie, to satisfy the curiosity of a passenger who had known them. It is the story of a man who gave up a career and a fashionable wife for a new set of values in a tropical backwater. A sort of Moon and Sixpence theme, written with wholly different technique and a new set of incidents. In McFee's own words, this is ""rich in the vitamins of romance.
