NANTUCKET: The Far Away Island

Dodd, Mead is building a first rate library of travel material dealing with vacation lands of our eastern section of the country. With this and the book reported below (The Heart of Old New England) two excellent contributions are made. The Nantucket book is a gold mine of information for anyone who knows Nantucket sketchily -- and should stimulate fresh interest in it. Historical -- biographical -- descriptive -- one acquires a fuller understanding of the island today and the island of yesterday. Not a tourist book -- but rather a book for one who loves to follow clues. No information, for instance, about hotels, tea rooms, shops etc.
