KIRKUS REVIEW

Dave Partrey, searching for his brother's killer, poses as a settler in the new state of Washington, cultivates the friendship of the Coveys whose Uncle Ben he suspects to be his man. He finds a second enemy in the man Ann Covey is to marry; his cabin is burned to the ground; his attraction to Ann is dimmed by the knowledge of the harm he will bring her family; but when he catches up with Ben and has a second murder to revenge- retribution also brings its rewards for the Coveys and Dave.... You haven't read this one before, and it's a substantial story.
