WITH WINGS AS EAGLES

These are ballads and narrative poems of the air, with an easy, swift momentum in key with the contents, colloquial -- if not poetic -- in manner. The poems deal with famous flights, from the Wrights to Bleriot to Glenn Curtiss to Earhart, Lindbergh, and Byrd -- kittyhawk, clipper and dirigible. Readable, but negligent in versification and prosaic.
