KIRKUS REVIEW

Tom Wade, turning his back on advertising and The Avenue, returns home (circa Westport) to write a novel, and to Gordy, his youngster, and Em, his wife, who will prove long suffering in the months to come. For Daddy (""Where's Daddy?"") cannot get started, and he is sleeping, taking up housework, socializing. A foreign climate would seem to favor native talent and they set off for Spain with Gordy- and the Thesaurus. In a small colony of non-writing writers Tom's demoralization is complete... Often, as is the case, this starts off nicely, but the offhand humor leads to some out-of-hand situations by the close. Still- it's personable, impromptu, light entertainment.
