KIRKUS REVIEW

Moments are tense to triumphant in this collection of interstellar tales, all of which are pretty patterned and orthodox. Most of them were first printed in Astounding Science Fiction Magazine and a sampling of authors and stories includes Walter M. Miller, Jr., with an account of the exigencies of a first trip to the moon; Alan E. Nourse, with a gruesome, gruelling account of a space-travel endurance test; Arthur Clarke with a story about space ships and their sizes.
