CEZANNS; RENOIR; MARY CASSATT

Three additions to the Hyperion Press art series, eachvolume, large folio size, attractive in format; butperishable. The bindings are rather light weight board andpaper, the reinforcement at backbone and end paper seemsinadequate. For public library use, they would doubtless haveto be rebound...For gift use, they are adequate -- and verylovely looking. Each volume starts with an excellentbiographical and critical foreward, placing the artist in hiscategory. Excellent biographies suggest further study. Eachvolume then presents eight reproductions in full color, fortyeight in black and white. Credit is given to the museums, artgalleries, private collectors who cooperated in bringing theseworks to the wider public.
