THE CENTRALITY OF CHRIST by William Temple

THE CENTRALITY OF CHRIST

William Temple would be important wherever you put him; as Archbishop of York he becomes a cynosure for the eyes of the world. His Nature, Man and God (Macmillan '15) sold in spite of its $6.00 price as well as most popular titles and now the Washington Cathedral Series boasts a new book at $1.00. It is small as most rare things are small, but it is broad in its scope and power. The four lectures which comprise the book were Revelation, The Incarnation, Sin and Atonement, Christianity, Ethics and Politics. They are clear-cut, incisive and so simple that every word rings in your ears after you finish the chapter. The message of the centrality of Christ will be indelibly planted in the minds of anyone who gives the book a careful reading. Another volume of the lecturers given by the Archbishop in Chicago will be ready soon. Watch for that, too.
