KIRKUS REVIEW

Here is the story of the air conquest of the Pacific, 1927-1936, along with illustrations, appendix with excerpts from the operations manual, maps, charts, typical reports, etc. The material is so gorgeous that the book can't help but be grand reading, though one feels the writing might have been more detailed. Includes the material in Longmans publication. Skyway to Asia, in less detail. Covers Pan-American forerunner, preparation of pilots in that service, etc. Market should include anyone interested practically or theoretically in aviation.
