THE LATER D. H. LAWRENCE

An anthology of the works Lawrence did in the last decade of his life, this includes the short novel, St. the essay, Reflections on the Death of a Porcupine, selections from Runnings in Mexico, The Man Who Died. The Woman Who Rode Away, and other assorted stories and essays. As Tindall states in his introduction, increasingly concerned with the unity of feelings and ideas, of theory and reality, with power, with human relations, and their literary and artistic representations, these later works placed together form a clear picture of Lawrence as his thoughts became more defined and his method of expression more symbolic, more ineffable. A nice collection.
