KIRKUS REVIEW

The whole man -- mind, body, spirit -- in relation to his God, is discussed as each of the authors speak from his sphere. Ashley Montagu on What Is Love; Edmund W. Sinnott, dean of the Graduate School, Yale University, on The Biology of the Spirit; O. A. Ohmann, an executive with Standard Oil, on Vital Factors in Business (Man needs Skyhooks). As many of the titles suggest, A Universe Is Born, by Gustaf Stromberg and Beyond Science, What, by Werner Heisenberg, nuclear scientist and Nobel Prize winner, this represents more than a truce between Science and Theology: it suggests a synthesis. Not confined to that realm alone, although the emphasis lies here, there are representatives of many occupations, such as Adela Rogers St. John on Do You Lead A Double Life?
