KIRKUS REVIEW

A Watergate gothic mystery with a Congressional scandal and a tape hunt in a rickety, isolated coastal hotel--as well as murder, a storm and a doe-eyed heroine. When a Senator, who is orphaned Brenna's uncle by marriage, is assassinated just as the scandal about his graft taking hits the news, Brenna runs for solace to her ancient aunts' hotel. There she meets her divorced husband and also her former fiance, both working for higher-ups (who are they?), both scouring the ground for the tapes. Gunfire, mysterious strangers and jejeune romance. Deep six this.
