A graphic view of American freedom and the documents which assert it is the subject of this interesting supplement to the study of our history. Twenty-six documents in photostat are reproduced here and accompanied by a summary of the events which led up to the issuing of the specific paper. These documents span the years between 1176 to 1945 and include such manuscripts as the original draft of the Declaration of Independence, the Star Spangled Banner, the Nineteenth Amendment (Civil rights for women), and the United Nations Charter. Each photostat can be placed in a projector or examined by the student with a magnifying glass. Wilma Hays, whose Pilgrim was a Junior Literary Guild selection, offers an engrossing new technique for classroom and home study.
