OECORATION U.S.A.

No more than a showcase for contemporary decor, framed in a facile, acceptant easy-to-read-on text. The illustrations, many in color, have not been seen here. The book covers the revolution in interior decoration since the war, with its assertion of color, pattern in backgrounds, the emergence of vinyl and the chic kitchen. House room is given to all the rooms of the house. There is a run-down of the furniture family tree (with random attention to how particular periods settle down with modern) and a glossary Prom ""acanthus"" to ""windsor chairs."" Insubstantial.
