MIDDLE MATILDA

Matilda loved being smack in the middle of four sisters and four brothers. It was an ideal family position from every point of view except one -- she could never own a fresh new dress. How thrilling when Great Aunt Matilda bestows the first brand new dress on her namesake just in time for a friend's party. And how dreadful when that same beautiful dress disappears from the clothesline where it had been hung to unwrinkle. Anguish turns into laughter and relief as the whole family unites to track down the missing dress and finally discovers its unlikely hideout. Middle children, as well as their sisters will understand Matilda's plight and appreciate this gay solution.
