Frances Cochrane, of Frances A La Mode takes a summer respite from her studies at Chicago Art Institute to stay with an aunt in Los Angeles. There she meets glamorous Mike Ybarra and temporarily forgets home-town boy Hank in the glitter of the job she finds working for the costume department of a major studio. Credibility is maintained for Frances stays in the minor leagues and Mike turns out to be an opportunist. Frances returns to Bank. Light romance glibly and engagingly presents an undistorted picture of first love and first jobs.
