Fluff with very gay feathers -- perfect summer escape reading, in very thin romance for a bright comedy of manners. Youthful Kitty, after a hasty divorce, returns to stay with her brother, Ben, and his wife, Peg. Still in love with her husband, Collins, who is still in love with her, Kitty nonetheless creates storm centers by her friendship with Mac, isolated in this oasis of suburban New York while he finishes a book. Collins reappears; Kitty involves her hosts in oddssituations; and finally, to cap it, she elopes with her ex-husband. Lots of sub-plot material, as Collins chaperons Ginns, who is chasing Mac, as Peg's local and personal problems of children, parties, meetings, et al lend a flavor of authenticity. Fun, and no strain on the brain.
