KIRKUS REVIEW

This was issued in 1944 in paper and board, and is now being reissued as originally planned, with heavy board and spiral binding. Children loved it from the start. For very small children, two and three years old, these pictures of recognizable things seen on city streets,- coal trucks, bread wagons, moving vans, busses, junk man, street sprinkler -- are greeted gleefully, and the postponement of Daddy's arrival gives a sense of fun and suspense.
