KIRKUS REVIEW
Dr. Richmond has an established market in this field, where her successful The Adolescent Boy and The Adolescent Girl are the standards on the subject. She treats here the history of sex in society, the development of the scientific approach the physiological emotional and psychological conditions relating to sex, the dangers of misinformation, sex in its relation to crime and poverty. The emphasis is on the normal aspects, with simply a suggestion of the abnormal, and with extensive bibliography following each chapter, permitting of further study. A book that parents and teachers and social workers should read.
