An authority on adolescence has written this book in such a way that it can be used with High School boys and girls, but is furthermore a book with which parents and anyone dealing with adolescents should be familiar. It is sound, helpful, worthwhile in its ideas on the morb worries and fears of youth. Physical betterment, intelligence, emotion, the sex side of life, behavior and habits, motives, ideals, guides for efficient and happy life, vocations, human relationships -- are among the subjects covered. The approach throughout is that by learning from specific analyses one gains better comprehension of human nature and general cooperation. She teaches that within the limitations of heredity and environment, conscious control can be acquired and applied to direct and control the energies.
