KIRKUS REVIEW

A book you should know about, as it is a good handbook for booksellers themselves to have, and to recommend to collectors among their customers. Following an introductory chapter on book collecting as a hobby, as a business and through its great names, the author goes on to a comprehensive bibliography of books about books. Books arranged alphabetically, under author (or editors). All salient facts given and a one or two paragraph description, very readable. Then a shorter section on magazine references. Finally a glossary of terms. Essential item for collectors and public libraries.
