VOYAGE TO GALAPAGOS

Pub Date: Feb. 27th, 1936

A worthy successor to 10,000 Leagues Over the Sea is the story of Robinson's trip with his wife and 20 year old artist cousin on the now famous Svaap, a 32-foot ketch, through the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, down the Peruvian coast, to the guano islands and across to the Galapagos. Much of the sailing done under an evil star, hurricane weather in the Caribbean, revolution in Cuba, a wreck in the jungles of Darien, necessitating three plane flights, the near tragedy of appendicitis -- altogether excellent reading with an appeal to sailing enthusiasts, vagabond adventurers, and those who like fireside adventures. Interesting tie-up with Satan Came to Eden (see report page 14), for Robinson's version of the mystery of the Baroness and her lovers.
