LET'S IMAGINE BEING PLACES

An unusual attempt to exercise the imagination of the very young. Only the bare outline of several pictures is presented, a mountain, a city street, a beach, and the child is invited to close his eyes and fill in the details, at first, through leading questions, (Any animals? What kind? Any people? What are they doing?), and later with no motivation but the idea. A book primarily to elicit imagery, this requires adult participation and guidance. An interesting conception that is not fully realized.
