GOD AND COMPANY

By

Publisher: Harper

Lephine Humphrey's books, over forty five years of writing, have been in the main interpretations of nature (including human nature) written imaginatively and with literary skill. There has been a religious overtone, which some thought too religious for the material 20th century. But now, with religious titles among the best sellers, she has chosen to write a book in which God is the dominant theme. The result is a readable book with a fresh approach to religion. There is nothing of theology nor of traditional pious phraseology but rather a simple and beautifully phrased plea for the recognition of the dominant place of God in the life of the individual and the world. The twenty chapters are brief enough to be suitable for daily devotional use.
