Not an empty account but as real and alive as life itself, this has lots of pointers and hints for those interested in secretarial work, a romantic interest common to this type of book -- and that something extra -- good swift characterizations, so well delineated they escape being just ""stock"" personalities. Even the touch of mystery is so understated that it doesn't detract from the growth of the central figure.
