Can't/see why this is presented as non-fiction. Have a look/ at it and see if you don't think it belongs in the category with Roark Bradford's a stories — somewhat in The Green Pastures vein. A fictionized story of the life of the great leader, from the threat to the Jewish infants which resulted in the hiding of Moses in the rushes and the discovery by Pharoah's daughter; his upbringing as a prince of the Pharoah's household, his marriage, his discovery of the secret book of his own people and his repudiation of the life of the court. His reluctance to take the leadership, but his final agreement, and his use of the training and the means at hand to gain his end. A warmly human story.
