Has there ever been a more sadly prophetic book title than Lance Armstrong’s It’s Not About the Bike? It’s now about the doping, the alleged intimidation and the stonewalling. It’s also, in Australian library circles, about a funny little prank. A certain librarian is probably in hot water right about now after he or she posted the following note to library users in Sydney’s Manly Library: "All non-fiction Lance Armstrong Books, including Lance Armstrong - Images of a Champion, The Lance Armstrong Performance Program and Lance Armstrong: World's Greatest Champion, will soon be moved to the fiction section." According to The Guardian, the Manly Council, which runs the library, issued a sobering statement: "Libraries can't arbitrarily reclassify categories of books, because that depends on the ISBN number that is issued by the National Library.” Yeah, duh, but it’s still kind of funny.
