10 CHARACTERS WE LOVE TO HATE [SHOWING SLIDE 10 OF 10]

We rhapsodized a few weeks ago about we’d like to be best friends with but we go for villains too. We’ll let the psychiatrists and philosophers figure out why we revel so gleefully in disgust for characters we revile. Leave it to us, however, to reveal which books, in both fiction and nonfiction, do the best job of making us yearn for vengeance against murderers, corrupt plutocrats, smug politicians and terrorists.
