Anna Solomon’s The Book of V. is the latest pick for Good Morning America’s monthly book club.

“So many of us are staying home these days, so this month’s book will transport you not only to several different places, but different time periods as well,” GMA anchor Amy Robach said. “Fans of The Hours and Fates and Furies will fall in love with The Book of V.”

The novel, Solomon’s third, follows three women across centuries, including the Biblical queen Esther, the feminist wife of a politician in 1970s Washington, and a full-time mom in modern-day Brooklyn. A reviewer for Kirkus called the book “a bold, fertile work lit by powerful images, often consumed by debate, almost old-school in its feminist commitment.”

“This book will transport you, something we all could use these days,” Solomon told the morning show in a video message. “I think a lot of readers will find some part of themselves in this book…It’s a book that can really spark conversation and maybe even debate among the women in your life.”

On Twitter, Solomon reacted to her book’s selection for the club, writing, “This is surreal and thrilling…I’m sitting here maybe crying a little.”

The Book of V. is slated for publication by Henry Holt on May 5.
