Jada Pinkett Smith is writing a memoir, People magazine reports.

Dey Street will publish the autobiography from the actor, musician, and talk show host next fall. The memoir doesn’t yet have a title.

Pinkett Smith first gained fame in the 1990s for roles in the television series A Different World and the films Menace II Society, Jason’s Lyric, Scream 2, and The Nutty Professor. More recently, she’s starred in the movies Magic Mike XXL and Girls Trip.

She married fellow actor Will Smith in 1997. Pinkett Smith was thrust into the headlines earlier this year after Chris Rock told a joke at the Academy Awards mocking her shaved head; she has the autoimmune disease alopecia, which causes hair loss. In response to Rock’s joke, Will Smith slapped the comedian on stage.

Pinkett Smith’s memoir, Dey Street says, “chronicles lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey—a rollercoaster ride from the depths of suicidal depression to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power.”

Dey Street editorial director Carrie Thornton said, “This memoir is Jada giving the world her truth, taking readers on a journey from lost girl to woman warrior. It is my great honor to take that journey with her.”
