If you’re looking for a way to introduce your kid to The Office—without the adult humor that made the show one of the most beloved sitcoms of recent years—author Robb Pearlman has got your back.
The author has written a children’s book based on the hit NBC sitcom, Entertainment Weekly reports. The book, aimed at readers aged 4 to 8, will hit shelves this fall.
Pearlman’s The Office: A Day at Dunder Mifflin Elementary, features pint-sized versions of the characters from the sitcom, which was itself an adaptation of Ricky Gervais’ British show of the same name.
Publisher Little, Brown Young Readers says the book is “filled with colorful, detailed illustrations and brimming with Easter eggs and nods to iconic moments from the show.”
“Michael Scott is Line Leader at Dunder Mifflin Elementary!” the publisher explains on a webpage for the book. “It’s a very big job, but Michael is sure he can liveup to the ‘World’s Best Line Leader’ title printed on his water bottle. There’s just one problem—Michael doesn’t know how to lead the line.”
Michael Scott, the awkward protagonist, was played by Steve Carell in the American version of the show. Other characters from the sitcom portrayed in the book include kid versions of Jim Halpert, Pam Beesly, and, of course, Michael’s right-hand man (well, boy) Dwight Schrute.
The Office: A Day at Dunder Mifflin Elementary is slated for publication on Oct. 6.
