Here they come again, those fiercely determined animals of Mossflower wood and its environs: intrepid or villainous, buckling their swashes, smiling sly grins, declaiming their resolution, and, above all, eating (``scoffin' '') their way through hazelnuts, raspberries, cream, ale, and other bounty.
