SHARP EDGES by Jayne Ann Krentz
FICTION & LITERATURE
Released: Feb. 1, 1998

"Krentz's usual lilting, charming prose and slightly eccentric characters find themselves at the service of a regrettably pedestrian suspenser."
Perhaps Krentz's fiction (Grand Passion, 1994, etc.) ought to be packaged with madeleines, if only to reinforce the sense of dÇjÖ vu her fans must feel with every page, tripping over bits and pieces that have been used in her historical romances, written as Amanda Quick, and that may well be incorporated in her science-fictional ones, written as Jayne Castle. "Intermittently hokey and unsurprising, but, still, with an appealing drive."
With her customary offbeat setting and flair for the supernatural, Krentz (Absolutely Positively, 1996, etc.) offers a tale that depends heavily on the other elements in her standard formula: one-part romance, one-part mystery, with a dash of sex and adventure for good measure.
