WHO CARES? I DO

KIRKUS REVIEW

Two stick figures state the case, "You Know What? Our country is getting to be a mess," then point to photos of trash and litter and drawings of the SPOILERS (divided into DROPPERS and WRECKERS) who are doing the damage. Their accompanying second-person exhortation advises that "boys and girls your age can really change the thinking and the ways of a lot of people. . . . Not by preaching at them or nagging. . . . NO/ All you have to do is act like a decent human being yourself." There's no positive reinforcement in the pictures or the lecture, only a tired watchbird admonishing litterbugs.
