by Ashley Goodall ; read by Ashley Goodall ‧ RELEASE DATE: May 7, 2024
Author and narrator Ashley Goodall brings to mind the little boy in the story of "The Emperor's New Clothes," who calls out the obvious that all the adults collude to ignore--in this case, that organizational change leaves damage in its wake. Goodall's charming, easy-to-listen-to English accent, his well-tuned and varied pitch, and his perfect pace will draw listeners in and keep them engaged with this manifesto. Goodall backs up his theories with deep research and stories from his interviews with victims of organizational change around the globe. He goes further to propose how corporate leaders can disrupt disruption and bring the human back into human resources. If this effort to launch a counter-movement fails, Goodall can always consider a career as an audiobook narrator.

by Elizabeth Chamblee Burch ; read by Cassandra Campbell ‧ RELEASE DATE: Jan. 13, 2026
The audiobook illuminates the misdeeds of malevolent marketers, sleazy lawyers, and unethical doctors.
Cassandra Campbell’s narration is a model of a nonfiction performance. Her reading of exposition is careful and convincing. She knows where to pause and how to move the action forward. Law professor Burch’s investigative report of the con men, grifters, and profiteers who took advantage of women who were harmed by vaginal mesh implant removal is deeply researched. The revelations of how these “professionals” colluded to scam these vulnerable women who experienced incontinence, pain, and emotional distress after their procedures is horrific. The patients whose mesh implants were removed often had no medical workups prior to surgeries and were charged egregious hidden fees. The text also exposes the legal system’s glacial pace.
