by Ashley Poston ; Read by Eileen Stevens ‧ RELEASE DATE: June 28, 2022
Narrator Eileen Stevens is a warm guide through this unexpectedly comforting romance, which embraces life, death, and everything in between. Florence Day can see ghosts. She's also a ghostwriter for a famous romance author, but after a traumatic breakup, she no longer believes in happily-ever-afters. Enter her handsome new editor, who is demanding her latest manuscript. Stevens is especially convincing and charming as smart, anxious, gentlemanly editor Ben. Then Florence gets bad news and reluctantly departs New York City for her small South Carolina hometown. Stevens brings Florence's family--they own a funeral home, of course--and the town's cast of characters to vivid life. As Florence plans a funeral, takes moonlit strolls in a cemetery, talks with ghosts, and falls in love again, listeners will be rapt.

Katie Leung's Scottish accent immediately immerses listeners in the Scottish Highlands in this sapphic vampire audiobook. Rebecca, a vampire hunter, goes undercover at a vampire university to find the Book of Blood and Roses, a compilation of ways to kill vampires. After being attacked, her gorgeous vampire roommate rescues her but accidentally makes Rebecca her familiar in the process. Finding the book could break the familiar curse, but their new proximity heats things up along the way. Leung easily switches between accents and tones to enliven a large cast of students, and her precise pacing adds delightful tension to romantic scenes. Leung's Scottish accent and precise pacing elevate this vampire romance.

Brittany Pressley returns to narrate this companion title to Her Knight at the Museum. Inspired by her friend, Emily, Chicago museum employee Rose Novak tries a little magic on a 19th-century painting and ends up summoning Henry Leighton-Lyons, the Duke of Beresford, to her apartment. Rose has a warm voice as she sympathizes with Henry's situation and his grief over the loss of his wife. Henry's upper-crust accent screams pompous aristocrat, even as his fascination with scientific advances often slips into his voice. As Rose and Henry grow closer, Pressley makes their mutual affection clear.
