Fred Berman brings to life the story of Luke Teivel, the son of Lucifer, who has been kicked out of hell and is now working as a detective for Infernal Affairs in Savannah, Georgia. Luke's new partner, Sorcha O’Malley, who can see ghosts, is coping with the murder of her twin sister. College students are being killed, and someone is trying to frame Luke for the murders. Berman ably handles a variety of creatures, from Luke’s hellhound mother to his imp companion, Helly, to the witches he interrogates.
