This audiobook recounts the true story of the Five Deeps Expedition of 2019-2020, a quest launched by equity investor and well-known explorer Victor Vescovo. The goal was for a manned submersible to reach the deepest points of the Earth's five oceans, with side trips to the TITANIC, the Horizon Deep, the Challenger Deep, the Sirena Deep, and the Diamantina Fracture Zone. The mission was a spectacular success, though there were many troubles along the way, both technological and interpersonal. Narrator Eric Dove sounds like a businessman himself--highly articulate and well paced. Various nationalities were involved, and Dove uses accents effectively and smoothly. Most of the narrative deals with the business side of the enterprise, though the scientific discoveries are also described. This is true-life adventure.

An exciting, inspiring, and provocative audiobook.
This memoir, environmental manifesto, and recounting of adventures in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest is a compelling listen. Rosolie tells the story of the Junglekeepers organization, dedicated to protecting the rainforest, with a heart-stopping pace. Rosolie and his team capture some of the world’s largest anacondas, climb to the top of the jungle canopy, fight for the survival of rare macaws, and meet the Indigenous Mashco Piro tribe. The Junglekeepers bring travelers to this most remote part of the planet where they have built the “world’s tallest treehouse.” Sadly, after overcoming threats of logging and mining and saving more than 100,000 acres of wilderness, the organization now faces drug dealers who want to use the land for their own purposes.
