Bright, energetic Primrose holds the story together as she attempts to make a match between Jack and Kate and to stop the logging of one of the town’s mountains. McInerney conveys Primrose’s enthusiasm as well as her confusion when things don’t go as planned. Funny, wise, and utterly charming.
