Moira Quirk narrates the satisfyingly complex and enjoyably confusing third entry in the Locked Tomb series. The world is ending, but all Nona wants to do is have a birthday party with her favorite people and favorite dogs in attendance. Sadly, it's possible that no one will survive that long. Quirk's portrayal of Nona is utterly captivating. She has only been alive for about six months but is generally enthusiastic and delighted by almost everything she encounters. Because Nona is completely unfamiliar with the people, concepts, and ideologies of the Nine Houses, Quirk must use her skills as a narrator to suggest interpretations of events outside of Nona's understanding. Her compelling and moving performance will please fans.
