The author, who has worked in the airline industry and reported on it, laments the airlines' decline. As he delivers McGee's words, Gregory Itzin sounds excited—and sarcastic—about complaints relating to lost luggage, intrusive TSAs, excessive fees, and overbooking. He often sounds like an outraged flyer himself. The book can be funny, as when the TSA and the FAA disagreed about flip-flop sandals. It can also be unnerving, as when he tells a mother's story about the dangers of flying with a child in her lap. It's sure to get flyers thinking about their experiences. The only risk is that for some listeners Itzin's entertaining style may dilute the issues that McGee takes on.

The author describes her efforts to implement a meaningful sustainability initiative for Wales and the world at large. An educator and minister of the environment, sustainability, and housing in her tiny country, she's a wonderful narrator who sounds at once relaxed and passionate, likable and dignified. Her voice is a perfect vehicle for amplifying her humanitarian intentions as well as the breadth of her methodical thinking. But what makes this audio so inspiring are the personal asides she shares throughout concerning her willingness to be vulnerable and her calm resolve to do something for the world's future generations. Davidson's descriptions of the laborious process of cultural transformation would have been dry listening without her pleasing UK speaking voice.

Narrator Sara Jes Austell conveys all the hip and rough-edged savvy you’d expect to hear from the founder of Nasty Girl, the vintage women’s wear Internet seller the author started on a shoestring and grew into a major fashion company. Austell’s performance is seamless, free of glitches of any kind, and remarkable for her infectious confidence, off-key likability, and spontaneous phrasing. She’s a big part of the effectiveness of this energetic discussion of how women can succeed as leaders without being sucked into corporate stereotypes of how they should behave or how businesses should operate. With its candid personal stories and down-to-earth strategies for handling a variety of start-up challenges, this is an audio that’s as useful as it is fun to hear.
