For most practical purposes, this meets almost every demand met by the Cosmopolitan World Atlas and at a substantial saving ($8.95 against $12.50). The main differences are here noted (from a confessedly lay angle):- the emphasis is more on the United States, less on world factors in space devoted to physical facts and economic factors -- 8 pages of clear miniature maps showing these factors as against 26 pages of larger, more all-inclusive maps; 2 pages of tables of United States climatic and economic data as against 10 pages of world charts; an index of 135 pages as against an index of 172 pages; 126 maps as against 144. Some things are omitted, or included under other headings, as for instance the charts of world political information, of discoveries and exploration, and the historical gazetteer. But by and large, this Premier World Atlas is excellent value and fine book making.
