MURDER BEFORE MIDNIGHT

Sheriff Jess Roden, at it again, comes to a small southern town to find the killer of lovely Ruth True. The men to love with her, the owner of the produce company where she worked, and moonshiners' misdemeanours all providing introspective inquiry for Roden who, obviously, catches the murderer. Somewhat sordid characters and slow pace -- but this series seems to have established a following.
