VICTOR BOOK OF CONCERTOS

Another valuable reference volume for the musical audience, for music schools, for the listener to radio concerts, and so on. The popularity of the other books in this field promises a wide sale for this, with the growing interest in the concerto as a form of musical expression. Growing concern on the part of the reading and listening public is responsible for the handling of the 130 concertos included, in that the emphasis is on the music rather than the composer. Technical terms are used where necessary (there is a glossary), and 500 musical illustrations are an integral part of the descriptive text. The arrangement is alphabetical. In the introduction, the development of the concerto is described. Appendix contains descography.
