THE MAYOS: Pioneers in Medicine

There is useful and interesting material in this book about the famous Mayo brothers and their equally famous father, and the growth of the Rochester clinic. But the poor organization of the material and the incredibly clumsy style bog the reader down in a book that emerges as uninspired and uninspiring. Better put the Clapesattle book, for all its shortcomings, on your High School shelves. It is a well-rounded picture of pioneering in medicine.
