Except for the chichi chitchat, and the New York City decorator, gourmet and bon vivant touches (Twenty-One- the Plaza- the Harvard Club- etc.) this is a story. It concerns Perdita, who loses her job in an advertising agency after a goof- or as they would say here- gaffe, and joining her in disgrace is Teddy , who loves her. Perdita goes to stay with her adoptive uncle, a most eligible man about town, Jerry Blake; and Sarah van Cleve, a widowed friend of Jerry's , comes along to chaperone them. By the close, the four-way romance ends in double wedding.... Ephemera, viz. trivia.
