THE GREATEST LOVER IN THE WORLD

Flimsy and frenetic, this fantasy of a shade who is to find the greatest lover in the world mixes up the denizens of Hell with the citizens of earth, for the shade is Ramon Romano, the great lover of the silent screen and his search ends with a dentist from Jackson Heights. While telling of the events that beset Dr. Donner when world famous screen star Gerda Galdi falls in love with him, Ramon interpolates what happened to him when woman after woman succumbed to his growing fame -- Ramon who was really Willie Schusgruber and a stutterer but movie-made into an irresistible. Donner is not such as he, for he really loves his wife and can laugh with her at what befalls him, when unwillingly and involuntarily, he becomes a public figure and subject to Gerda besieging his office with Hollywood greats wanting him to take care of their teeth; Gerda promising to make another picture if Donner will be her leading man; society and newspapers surrounding him with the cumulative effect of his reputation. Until Ramon's ghostly attempts to teach Gerda to laugh succeed.....Whipped up in a ""Dear Reader"" ""Gentle Reader"" and many another ds this comedy has a sad face.
