THE SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT SWING

This is an unusual golf book since it doesn't instruct but describes the results of scientific research into the game. Sponsored by the Golf Society of Great Britain, it starts with ""what happens when a player hits a ball"" (top golfers swing a clubhead at over 100 miles per hour and send off the ball at over 130 miles per hour) and ends with a few mathematical formulae about speed and impact and mass. In between the search goes on, massively illustrated with drawings and high speed photographs, and while it may not make you a better golfer, it will make you a more knowledgeable one. A truly swinging book for the fraternity.
